What badges do
A badge is a permanent achievement attached to a player’s profile: "First Win", "Complete the Tower", "Find the Secret Room". Players chase them, display them, and the pursuit itself drives the exact behaviors that retain players — exploring every corner and replaying for 100% completion.
Creating and pricing
Badges are created in the creator dashboard under your experience; each badge creation costs Robux (a one-time fee per badge), so design the badge list before paying: milestone badges (progression), secret badges (hidden discoveries — the engagement gold), and event badges (limited-time). The icon should read at tiny size, same rules as game icons.
Badge-driven engagement loops
Secret badges with cryptic names create community scavenger hunts — players collaborate, make guides (and search your game’s name), and replay content. Progression badges milestone the retention curve. Both are nearly free to implement in code: one award call at the right moment.
