Turn on the three settings
Enable 2-Step Verification (app-based codes), set a unique password not reused anywhere, and add a verified email for recovery. Most stolen accounts trace to password reuse from another site’s leak rather than Roblox itself — the fix costs two minutes.
The scam patterns
The classics never change: "free Robux" websites harvesting logins, trade scams offering overpriced items off-platform, fake "admin" or "support" asking for your password (real staff never ask), and phishing links disguised as item giveaways. Rule of thumb: anything promising free Robux is the scam itself — Robux enter accounts only via purchase, Premium stipends or genuine earnings.
Recovery and parent controls
If an account is compromised, use the password reset on the verified email immediately, then contact Roblox support about stolen items. Parents should use the account restrictions and parental controls to gate chat and purchases. Builders should note that group games with funds are especially valuable targets — 2FA on the group owner account protects the whole team’s income.
