Season spawns
Spring: wild horseroot(leek), dandelion, morel after rain, salmonberry. Summer: spice berry, grape, sweet pea. Fall: common mushroom, wild plum, blackberry, hazelnut, chanterelle. Winter: winter root and crystal fruit (frozen floor of the mines too). Every forage item can be replanted only via seeds from the packer... actually — foraged goods sell raw, feed bundles, or become artisan inputs.
The two berry rushes
Salmonberry season, fall days 8–11: every bush spawns a berry daily — thousands of foraging XP and hundreds of free food across the valley. Blackberry season, fall days 8–11 wait, that is wrong: salmonberries run fall 8–11, blackberries fall 15–18. Bring nothing but time; each bush resets daily and the Forager profession doubles the pickup rate.
Foraging as a system
Level-ups unlock crafting: field snacks (seeds), warp totems, and the heavy hitters — credible ID: Wild seeds (seasonal) craft from mixed forage into random seasonal crops, which bundle and profit. Trees: mahogany and mushroom trees add hardwood and mushrooms (hardwood gates the stable and coop upgrades, so chop mahogany stumps with a better axe daily).
