Geode Processing Guide — What to Break, What to Donate and What to Sell

Regular, frozen, magma and omni geodes: where each comes from and what Clint turns them into.

The four types

Geodes (mine floors 1–39) yield basic minerals and resources; frozen geodes (floors 41–79) add ice-adjacent finds; magma geodes (floors 81+) the deeper tier; and omni geodes (everywhere, desert and fishing chests) roll everything including rare gems. Clint at the blacksmith opens them for 25g each.

Donate first, sell second

New minerals and artifacts go to the Museum first — donations unlock rewards and the museum’s completion bonus. Duplicates become money or crafting inputs (refined quartz from quartz is a sprinkler and lightning rod ingredient). Omni geodes can also be processed at the Oasis for better odds on rare finds.

The desert loop

Once the bus runs, Omni geodes become a full economy: buy omni geodes (or hoard them from the mines), process, donate new finds, sell duplicates, and feed the rare gem side into crafting. This loop pairs naturally with Skull Cavern runs — the deeper you go, the more raw material the loop consumes.

FAQ

Where do I open geodes?

Clint the blacksmith, east side of town, for 25g each. He is closed Fridays — plan processing around the shop calendar.

What is an Omni Geode?

A geode that can contain almost any mineral from any source, found everywhere and sold at the Oasis for alternate processing. It is the endgame of the geode loop.
