Stardew Valley Museum Guide — Donations, Rewards and Completion Bonuses

Gunter the octopus wants every mineral and artifact: what each milestone unlocks and how to fill the gaps.

The donation loop

Every new mineral (from geodes) and artifact (from digging, monster drops and fishing chests) can be donated once at the Museum. Milestones along the way grant rewards — seeds, furniture, a forge-ish... practically: rarecrows, teleport totems and eventually the Stardrop for major donation counts. Donated items display forever; duplicates are yours to sell or process.

The artifact hunt

Artifacts come from dig spots (the wiggling worms — dig with any pickaxe), monster drops, fishing chests and geodes. Different areas spawn different artifacts, so rotating your dig spots across town, the beach, the mountain and the desert fills the collection faster. The Seed Maker’s ancient seed loop pairs with the museum’s ancient seed donation for the first ancient fruit start.

Completion and the long tail

Full completion (all minerals + all artifacts) grants the final Stardrop and a permanent display — but the practical rewards land long before that. The museum is a background project: donate every new find immediately, check the duplicate counter, and let years of play finish the collection naturally.

FAQ

What happens when the museum is complete?

The final donation count awards a Stardrop (permanent +energy) and the display is complete. Along the way you collect rarecrows, totems and seeds at milestone counts.

Where do artifacts come from?

Dig spots (wiggling worms) across every area, monster drops in the mines and Skull Cavern, fishing chests, and geodes. Different areas spawn different artifacts.
