Why stardrops matter
Each Stardrop permanently raises your energy cap (starting 270 toward 500+ across all drops). More energy means more tool swings per day — the difference between watering half the farm and finishing every chore with daylight to spare. They are the most valuable permanent upgrades in the game.
The reliable locations
Known stardrop sources include: The Stardew Saloon (purchase for 7,777g... the saloon’s special stock), the Mines floor 100 chest, complete Museum donation reward, Grandpa’s evaluation (4 candles on the farm’s shrine), a fishing chest on deep waters, Old Mariner... the Mermaid’s show on Ginger Island (play the music sequence), and Krobus’ friendship. Several are late-game by design — the energy curve is meant to grow with your farm.
Planning around them
Each stardrop effectively buys 30-40 extra actions per day. The Mines-100 drop comes early for miners; the museum and saloon drops are pure gold sinks... (the saloon one is a purchase). Track which ones you have in the collection tab, and let the rest arrive with the natural milestones of your save.
